Manchester City’s youngsters have one of the most difficult opening fixtures in the UEFA Youth League this season.
Bayern Munich are no pushovers at any level and it will be interesting to see how City get on after an inconsistent start for the under-21 side compared to the outstanding football, which has been produced by the under-18 side.
The under-21 side are currently mid-table in division one, winning only one of their opening four games. The under-18 side have a five point gap at the top of the Northern league having won all four games, scoring 11 goals and conceding just once.
Youngsters from both sides are likely to feature for City in this important game and they can use it as a platform to grab the attention of Manuel Pellegrini who will be looking at various squad options for when he rests first team regulars.
