Manchester United meet Manchester City in the EFL Cup this evening as Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola lock horns again.

The Red Devils are desperate for a response having been beaten 4-0 away at Mourinho’s former club Chelsea this evening, and he’s rung the changes this evening.

Luke Shaw comes in at left back, whilst Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind feature at centre back, with Eric Bailly injured and no place in the side for Chris Smalling, who endured a nightmare against Chelsea.

Michael Carrick returns to bring some experience to the midfield alongside Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba, whilst Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford will support lone striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mourinho’s bench features fringe players like Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian and Memphis Depay, as well as Marouane Fellaini and Ashley Young.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have gone five games without a win in all competitions, and Guardiola will be desperate to grab another victory at Old Trafford this evening having beaten United 2-1 earlier this season.

Guardiola has also rotated his side though, with Willy Caballero coming in for Claudio Bravo in goal, whilst Pablo Maffeo starts at right back.

Vincent Kompany is able to partner Nicolas Otamendi at centre back, with Gael Clichy at left back, and Fernando protecting the back four.

Youngster Aleix Garcia starts in midfield, with Jesus Navas, Nolito and Leroy Sane supporting lone striker Kelechi Iheanacho in attack.

Defender Tosin Adarabioyo is on the bench, along with big names like Raheem Sterling, Ilkay Gundogan and Sergio Aguero, as well as tonight’s backup goalkeeper Angus Gunn.
