Here are the sides Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez have selected for the Merseyside derby.
Liverpool: Mignolet, Cissokho, Skrtel, Toure, Flanagan, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Sturridge, Sterling, Suarez
Subs: Jones, Kelly, Ibe, Smith, Moses, Aspas, Alberto
Everton: Howard, Baines, Jagielka, Mirallas, McCarthy, Lukaku, Barry, Barkley, Pienaar, Stones, Alcaraz
Subs: Robles, Hibbert, McGeady, Naismith, Gueye, Osman, Garbutt
Liverpool can consolidate their position in the top four with a win this evening as well as closing the gap on Chelsea who play tomorrow night.
Brendan Rodgers will be confident that his side can put together a strong performance because their record at home this season has been very good.
Rodgers is working away furiously to try and bring players in who can strengthen the side over the second half of the season, but he’s still been able to name a very strong team for this match.
For Everton, the incentive is that they will go above Liverpool if they manage to get a win at Anfield.
There will be a strong feeling of togetherness within Roberto Martinez’ team following the horrendous injury to Bryan Oviedo last weekend and the Toffees are on a great run of form with three wins and two draws from their last five.
