Liverpool will be hoping for a magical night at Anfield this evening in their Champions League clash against Barcelona.

Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the first leg of their semi-final tie away from home at Camp Nou last week.

It is going to take something special for the Premier League outfit to win 4-0 against Barcelona at Anfield this evening and progress to the final of the Champions League.

This is how Liverpool and Barcelona will line up at Anfield this evening:

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Henderson, Mane, Shaqiri, Origi

Subs: Mignolet, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Gomez, Sturridge, Brewster, Woodburn

Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen, Pique, Rakitic, Sergio, Coutinho, Suarez, Messi, Lenglet, Alba, Roberto, Vidal

Meanwhile, Ibrox legend Derek Johnstone has suggested in The Glasgow Evening Times that Liverpool-owned winger Ryan Kent should stay at Rangers next season.

Kent joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool in the summer of 2018.

The 22-year-old winger has been superb for Rangers this season and has been a key figure in manager Steven Gerrard’s side.

Rangers legend Johnstone has suggested that it would be best if Kent stays at Ibrox next season and continue his footballing development by playing regular competitive first-team football.

Johnstone wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “I think Ryan would want to stay at Rangers if he can. He has enjoyed himself here and another season with Steven would do him the world of good.

“If he goes back to Liverpool, he would be playing for the Reserve team and maybe getting on the bench now and again. He would get ten minutes here and there, but that isn’t going to improve his career.

“If he is happy in Glasgow and happy playing for Rangers, then another loan deal makes sense for us and for Ryan. Now it is down to Liverpool and what they think is best for them and their player.”
