Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named his team for tonight’s Champions League clash at home to Genk, as per UEFA.com.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Milner, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Origi.

Substitutes – Adrian, Lovren, Firmino, Mane, Lallana, Robertson, Jones.

Having handily beaten the Belgians away from home just weeks ago, Liverpool will have plenty of confidence heading into this fixture.

Three points will be the demand from expectant fans, which would give the Reds a big boost in their quest to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

However, there are other fixture demands for Klopp to contemplate.

The massive English Premier League showdown against Manchester City on Sunday stands out as a significantly bigger match than tonight.

It had been expected that the Liverpool boss might have rested some of his key players. It is notable that stand-out stars such Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson are getting some time on the bench.

Elsewhere, Fabinho returns to the starting eleven after missing out against Aston Villa over the weekend. Naby Keita and Divock Origi also start, with both likely eager to impress and make a push for more regular starts.

With firepower such as Mohamed Salah selected, the Reds still have more than enough to secure a positive result.

Recent history doesn’t favour Genk getting a result. They’ve conceded 15 goals in their last three away fixtures in the competition, while the home side have scored eight goals in their last two European matches.

With the talent at Klopp’s disposal this evening, it could be a long night for the travelling Belgians.

However, Liverpool need to remain concentrated on the task and not let their mind wander to Sunday.

Can they pick up an important three points?
