Here is how Liverpool and Swansea City will line-up for this afternoon’s match at Anfield:
Liverpool starting XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Agger, Skrtel, Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling, Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge
Subs: Jones, Teixeira, Toure, Moses, Allen, Aspas, Cissokho
Swansea City starting XI: Vorm, Rangel, Chico, Williams, Taylor, Britton, de Guzman, Shelvey, Dyer, Routledge, Bony
Subs: Tremmel, Amat, Tiendalli, Canas, Hernandez, Emnes, Ngog
Liverpool can finish the day just a point behind third-place Manchester City with a win at home to Swansea. And given their recent league form they will be very disappointed if that is not the case.
The Reds are without Lucas Leiva, Mamadou Sakho and Jose Enrique while the visitors cannot call on the injured Michu.
Swansea will have to make history today if they want to win, as they have failed to secure a league victory in 12 previous trips to Anfield; although the fact that three of the five Premier League encounters between the two have ended in draws will give the Swans hope of taking a share of the spoils.
With Swansea without a win in their last seven away matches, a draw may be the best they can hope for.
What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
