Liverpool starting XI: Kelleher; Jones, Konate, Quansah, Tsimikas; Endo, Gravenberch, Elliott; Doak, Jota, Gakpo.

Liverpool substitutes: Adrian, Van Dijk, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Mac Allister, Matip, Bajcetic, Chambers.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are back in action this evening as they take on Leicester City in the EFL Cup.

The Reds have been in great form to start the season and beat West Ham United 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool must now see off Championship side Leicester City and Klopp has understandably rotated his side.

Caoimhin Kelleher starts in goal tonight, as he often does for cup games.

Jarell Quansah is handed a chance to shine and starts alongside Ibrahima Konate at centre back.

Curtis Jones is in at right back with Kostas Tsimikas over on the left side of the back four.

Jones at right back is a rather surprising choice but we can expect to see him drift into a more natural midfield role.

Wataru Endo will sit in midfield with Ryan Gravenberch and Harvey Elliott further ahead of him in the engine room.

Ben Doak starts on the right as he continues to excite fans, joining Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo in the final third.

Darwin Nunez is only on the bench tonight, joining Adrian, Virgil van Dijk, Luis Diaz, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Joel Matip, Stefan Bajcetic and Luke Chambers.
