Here’s the Liverpool team to face Real Madrid in the UEFA Youth League.

Liverpool under-19s: Fulton, Whelan, Maguire, Cleary, Brewitt, Rossiter, Wilson, Phillips, Sinclair, Brannagan, Kent

Subs: Canos, Firth, O’Hanlon, Marsh, Alexander, Lewis, Ejaria

Liverpool’s under-19s will be looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat at the hands of FC Basel when they take on Real Madrid in the UEFA Youth League.

The young Reds started so well in the competition with a big win against Ludogorets but they’re now under pressure while the other English sides in the competition have continued to impress.

They face a huge task because Real have been superb in the competition so far and are yet to concede their first goal, which shows the difficulty Liverpool’s attack could have during the game this afternoon.

A win for Liverpool could move them into second place in Group B but they’re relying on Ludogorets getting a result against Basel, which seems unlikely as they have conceded seven goals without scoring so far.

This is a great chance for Liverpool’s youngsters to create some positive momentum for the club and fans heading into the first team’s Champions League game this evening.
