Liverpool and Sunderland face off at Anfield this afternoon with the Reds hoping to make it three league wins in a row and the Black Cats looking to do to Brendan Rodgers’ side what they did to Chelsea last month.
Sunderland are currently 14th in the Premier League with 14 points from their first 14 matches, while Liverpool are eighth having racked up 20 points thus far.
This is the kind of match the Reds have to win if they want to get back into the top four but it will be interesting to see if their wobbles are well and truly behind them or if Gus Poyet’s men can cause a shock on Merseyside.
