Liverpool are back to domestic matters after their Champions League encounter with Real Madrid last week.
Last time out in the Premier League, the Reds had an eventful match against Queens Park Rangers, but they will be hoping for a far less troublesome game when they welcome Hull to Anfield.
That may not be the case, with Steve Bruce’s side impressing this season and giving Arsenal a tough game recently.
Rodgers is without injured trio Mamadou Sakho, Jon Flanagan and Daniel Sturridge, while Hull are without Nikica Jelavic, Steve Harper, Allan McGregor and Michael Dawson.
Hull’s only win in 18 encounters with Liverpool came last season, but the Tigers have conceded 30 goals at Anfield in nine games and that does not bode well this afternoon.
