Liverpool welcome Everton to Anfield this afternoon for the latest Merseyside derby.

It is a huge match for both sides, with Liverpool looking to keep up with the teams at the top of the Premier League table and Everton hoping to maintain the fine form they have shown since Sam Allardyce took charge.

The new Toffees boss has wasted little time making his mark at Goodison Park and he will have ensured his troops are up for a clash that could yet define their campaign.

Liverpool are currently fourth in the table with 29 points while Everton are 10th with 18.

The Toffees looked to be fighting a relegation battle this season but a couple of quick victories have given them the impetus to push on and it will be interesting to see where they finish with Allardyce at the helm.

A few weeks ago, Liverpool would have been tipped to win this one with ease, but now it really could go either way.
