Here is how Liverpool and Crystal Palace will line up for this afternoon’s clash:
Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield for today’s late kick-off, with Steven Gerrard the centre of attention as he makes his final home appearance in a Reds shirt.
Liverpool do still have a very slim chance of making it into the top four but in truth the prospect of Champions League qualification is little more than a pipe-dream at this stage of the campaign.
Liverpool are currently fifth in the table, six points behind Manchester United and with an inferior goal-difference.
As for Palace, they are 12th in the Premier League having won 42 points from their 36 matches to date.
Eagles manager Alan Pardew has done a fine job since taking charge and he will want to rain on Gerrard’s parade; but on such an occasion, what chance the former England international netting a glorious winner?
It is certainly possible, with a celebratory feel tinged with sadness sure to be in the air at Anfield.
