Confirmed lineups: Nottingham Forest v Aston Villa at City Ground

Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa will face each other at the City Ground in the Championship this evening.

Nottingham Forest will be looking to pick up all three points this evening when they take on Aston Villa at home in the Championship.

Forest will head into the match against Villa at the City Ground on the back of a 4-2 victory over Premier League club Arsenal at home in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Reds held Leeds United to a goalless draw at Elland Road in the Championship on Monday, January 1.

The game against Villa will be former Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka’s first game in charge of Forest.

Meanwhile, Villa find themselves fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 44 points from 26 matches.

The Villans are going strong in the league and are very much in the race for a top-six finish in the table.

Steve Bruce’s side will head into the game against Forest on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Peterborough United at Villa Park in the third round of the FA Cup.
