Leeds United host Reading in the Championship this afternoon.

Leeds United starting line-up: Lonergan; Ayling, Cooper, Jansson, Berardi; O’Kane, Phillips; Roofe, Hernandez, Saiz, Lasogga

Leeds United substitutes: Wiedwald, Pennington, Klich, Dallas, Sacko, Cibicki, Grot.

Reading starting line-up: Mannone; Gunter, Moore, Ilori, Van den Berg; Edwards, Bacuna, Beerens, McCleary, Aluko, Böðvarsson.

Reading substitutes: Jaakkola, Barrow, Clement, Blackett, Popa, Kelly, Smith.

Leeds United are back in Championship action this afternoon following the international break, as they take on Reading at Elland Road.

The Whites went into the international break off the back of two defeats, having lost 3-1 to Cardiff and 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday, and must now show a response today.

Manager Thomas Christiansen has made one huge change to his side today, as under-fire summer signing Felix Wiedwald has been dropped to the bench in favour of Andy Lonergan between the sticks.

Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi feature across the back four, whilst Eunan O’Kane partners Kalvin Phillips in the heart of midfield.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga leads the line in attack, and will be supported by the trio of Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Samu Saiz.

That leaves Matthew Pennington, Mateusz Klich, Stuart Dallas, Hadi Sacko, Pawel Cibicki and Jay-Roy Grot as the other substitutes alongside Wiedwald this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Reading have endured a desperately poor start to the season, and manager Jaap Stam needs a result this afternoon in order to kickstart his season and ease some of the mounting pressure on his head.

Stam appears to have gone for a back four of Chris Gunter, Liam More, Tiago Ilori and Joey van den Berg in front of goalkeeper Vito Mannone, with Dave Edwards and Leandro Bacuna in midfield.

That means that Roy Beerens, Garath McCleary and Sone Aluko will all support lone striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson as the Royals chase an away win this afternoon.

Stam’s bench consists of backup goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola, alongside Modou Barrow, Pelle Clement, Tyler Blackett, Adrian Popa, Liam Kelly and Sam Smith.
