Leeds United starting XI: Green; Ayling, Bartley, Jansson, Berardi; O’Kane, Vieira; Sacko, Roofe, Hernandez; Wood.

Leeds United substitutes: Silvestri, Cooper, Phillips, Barrow, Pedraza, Dallas, Doukara.

Bristol City starting XI: Giefer; Little, Flint, Wright, Golbourne; Cotterill, Hegeler, Brownhill, Bryan; Tomlin; Abraham.

Bristol City substitutes: Fielding, Matthews, Pack, O’Neil, Paterson, Taylor, Djuric.

After two successive league defeats, Leeds United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Bristol City at Elland Road tonight.

Garry Monk saw his side lose 2-0 at home to Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon as Leeds struggled without star centre back Pontus Jansson, but the Swede returns from illness tonight.

Jansson takes his place in defence alongside Gaetano Berardi, Kyle Bartley and former Bristol City right back Luke Ayling, with Robert Green in goal.

Liam Bridcutt is suspended, so Monk has gone with Eunan O’Kane and Ronaldo Vieira in the middle of the park, whilst Hadi Sacko, Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez will support Chris Wood in attack.

Monk has a number of attacking options on the bench in Modou Barrow, Alfonso Pedraza, Stuart Dallas and Souleymane Doukara, along with Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips joining backup goalkeeper Marco Silvestri on the bench.

Meanwhile, Bristol City are looking to bounce back from a dreadful second half display against Derby County, having been 3-0 up in the first half, only to draw 3-3 at Pride Park.

Lee Johnson has handed starts to January signings Fabian Giefer, Bailey Wright, David Cotterill and Jens Hegeler, but Matty Taylor has been dropped to the bench.

The Robins have a back four of Mark Little, Wright, Aden Flint and Scott Golbourne, with Cotterill, Hegeler, Josh Brownhill and Joe Bryan across midfield.

Lee Tomlin will support Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham in attack, with Taylor surprisingly left out despite scoring against Derby on Saturday.

Taylor is joined on the bench by the likes of Frank Fielding, Adam Matthews, Gary O’Neil, Marlon Pack, Jamie Paterson and Milan Djuric as City chase points following a dreadful run of form.
