The Leeds United Under-23 side are in action against their Barnsley counterparts this afternoon.

The Leeds United senior team may not be in action this week, but the club’s Under-23 side are playing this afternoon.
With Leeds having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Newport County at the third-round stage earlier this month, the West Yorkshire outfit are not in action until next Tuesday evening.
Thomas Christiansen’s side are in Spain training at the moment, while the Championship club’s Under-23 side will face Barnsley at the the Oakwell training pitch this afternoon.

Among the players who are starting for the Whites’ youth team this afternoon is Romario Vieira, the twin brother of 19-year-old Ronaldo Vieira, who is already part of the first team.
Oliver Sarkic also starts for the visiting team. The 20-year-old Montenegro Under-21 international forward recently signed a permanent contract with Leeds, having initially joined the club on loan from Benfica in the summer of 2017.
New Leeds signing Sam Dalby is on the substitutes’ bench, though. The 18-year-old centre-forward moved to the Whites from Leyton Orient only this week.
