Here is how Leeds United’s second string will line up for today’s clash.
Leeds United U23: Turnbull, M. Tayor, Downing, Diagouraga, P. McKay, Vann, Whitehouse, Romario Vieira, J. McKay, Stokes, Wilks
Leeds United’s under-23 side take on their Wigan Athletic counterparts this afternoon with some notable inclusions in the Whites’ line-up.
Among those starting are goalkeeper Ross Turnbull and midfielder Toumani Diagouraga, although there is no place for out-of-favour Luke Murphy. There is however a starting spot for Romario Vieira, the brother of first-team regular Ronaldo.

Leeds also give starts to teenage striker Malik Wilks and twin brothers Paul McKay and Jack McKay and it will be interesting to see which of those on show seizes this latest chance to impress.
Leeds manager Garry Monk has already proved he is willing to give youth a chance if a player is deemed good enough and the Whites certainly have more exciting talent coming through the ranks.

As for Turnbull and Diagouraga, this could be as good as it gets until they ultimately leave Elland Road, with the path to the Leeds first-team seemingly blocked.
But all they can do is keep their heads held high and work as hard as possible to ensure they are ready if the call does come.
