Leeds United play the second match of their post-season tour today.

Leeds starting XI: Peacock-Farrell, Ayling, O’Connor, Struijk, Pearce, Phillips, Vieira, Gomes, Clarke, Ekuban, Edmondson
Leeds United end their controversial post-season tour with a friendly against the Myanmar national team in Mandalay today.
The Whites lost the first match of the tour – a 2-1 defeat to a Mynamar All Stars team earlier this week, with Paul Heckingbottom opting for a young starting line-up.

On that occasion, there were a few positives to take from the encounter, not least the performance of Ryan Edmondson.
The 16-year-old outshone his more experienced teammates and had a goal ruled out for offside, and it will be interesting to see if the teenager gets the chance to make an early surge for first-team recognition in this summer’s pre-season friendlies.

Bryce Hosannah also had a fine outing on Wednesday and others will be hoping to follow in his footsteps, with Heckingbottom seeing this as a potential audition for the challenges ahead.
Leeds started the Championship season with high hopes after a summer of significant change but, as has been the case all too often at Elland Road, they fell well short at the business end of the campaign.
With the right additions in the upcoming transfer window, and with a little more faith shown in the next generation, 2019 could be Leeds’ year. But only time will tell…
