Here is how Leeds United will line up for their latest pre-season friendly.

Leeds United starting XI: Wiedwald, Ayling, Jansson, Cooper, Berardi, O’Kane, Phillips, Alioski, Roofe, Hernandez, Wood

Leeds United subs: Green, Peacock-Farrell, Gomez, Pennington, Dallas, Anita, Shaughnessy, Bridcutt, Saiz, Doukara, Antonsson, Ekuban, Sacko, Vieira

Leeds United continue their pre-season preparations with a friendly clash against German side Borussia Monchengladbach this afternoon, with Whites boss Thomas Christiansen looking to see what his players can do against top class opposition.

The Whites have so far won all three of their summer matches, with a behind-closed-doors victory against Harrogate Town followed by comfortable wins against Guiseley and North Ferriby United.

Leeds had the first match of their Austrian tour against Ingolstadt cancelled, so they will be chomping at the bit to get on the field this afternoon against the Bundesliga club.

After this match Leeds have games against Eibar and Oxford United before they return to domestic action against Bolton Wanderers for the opening match of their new Championship campaign.

Leeds have been busy this summer bringing in a number of new players, and Christiansen has the next three matches to fine tune his starting XI – and his thinking – ahead of a season he hopes will end in promotion back to the top flight after far too long away.

There could yet be one more addition to the Leeds squad, with an experienced centre-back needed despite the recent loan addition of Everton’s Matthew Pennington.
