Leeds United will be looking to maintain their good run of form when they take on Bristol City away from home in the Championship this afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will head into the match at the Ashton Gate Stadium on the back of a 4-0 hammering of West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road in the league.

Leeds are very much in the running for automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

As things stand, the West Yorkshire outfit are five points behind leaders Norwich City, who played yesterday and won.

Meanwhile, City currently find themselves sixth in the Championship table with 54 points from 34 matches.

The Robins are going strong in the league, and they will be fully aware that a win against Leeds this afternoon will enhance their chances of clinching a playoff spot.

Meanwhile, City manager Lee Johnson has given his take on Leeds and seems to have been impressed by head coach Bielsa.

Johnson said about Leeds on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (9:11am, March 9, 2019): “I think it is sign of a good coach, the clarity that the players have got and the pattern that they work.

“I think that gives you that freedom, that belief to go and play because you are already a step ahead, a yard ahead of the opposition’s thinking, and that’s the key.”
