Leeds United take on Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Cup tonight.

Leeds United starting line-up: Blackman, Pearce, Jansson, Ayling, Shackleton; Baker, Phillips, Harrison, Saiz, Roberts; Bamford.

Leeds United substitutes: Huffer, Berardi, De Bock, Shaughnessy, Klich, Alioski, Roofe.

Leeds United are back in action at Elland Road tonight as they host Bolton Wanderers in the first round of the EFL Cup.

The Whites hammered Derby County 4-1 at Pride Park on Saturday afternoon, building on a superb 3-1 win over Stoke City on the opening weekend of the Championship season.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa has earned rave reviews for the way his team have been playing, but he has decided to make a host of changes for tonight’s game against Bolton.

Jamal Blackman makes his first competitive start having been on the bench behind Bailey Peacock-Farrell so far this season, whilst Tom Pearce and Jamie Shackleton line up as full backs.

Pontus Jansson returns in defence alongside captain Luke Ayling, whilst Kalvin Phillips and Samu Saiz keep their places in midfield, and are joined by another new signing in Lewis Baker.

In attack, Tyler Roberts starts on the left, and is joined by two more new signings in Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison and striker Patrick Bamford, making it first starts for four new signings.

The likes of Will Huffer, Conor Shaughnessy and Laurens De Bock are on the bench, alongside Saturday’s starters Gaetano Berardi, Mateusz Klich, Ezgjan Alioski and Kemar Roofe.
