Leeds United are back in action this evening as they take on York City in a pre-season friendly at Bootham Crescent, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side starting their preparations for the new campaign.
Bielsa hasn’t been able to give a debut to Helder Costa or Ben White tonight, whilst Kalvin Phillips isn’t in the squad either, though it’s believed he will play against Guiseley tomorrow, rather than being anything about an exit.
Kiko Casilla starts in goal despite questions over his future, and he’ll play behind a Pontus Jansson-less back four of Stuart Dallas, Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper and Barry Douglas.
Alfie McCalmon is handed a start in an attack-minded side, with Adam Forshaw and Pablo Hernandez seemingly playing in central areas alongside the Northern Ireland youngster.
That leaves Jack Harrison and Kemar Roofe as the wide men, and striker Patrick Bamford to lead the line as the lone striker, as Rafa Mujica has been named on the bench.
He’s joined by Kamil Miazek, Oliver Casey, Ryan Edmondson, Robbie Gotts, Bryce Hosannah, Jack Jenkins, Liam McCarron, Clarke Oduor, Patrick Struijk and Kun Temenuzhkov.
