Eoghan Stokes’ Elland Road contract has been ripped up after making just one senior Leeds appearance.

Leeds United have confirmed on their official website that the club have agreed to mutually terminate Eoghan Stokes’ contract with the club – six months before it was due to expire.
The 21-year-old has failed to make a lasting impression on the Leeds staff and will now become a free agent after both parties agreed to end his current Elland Road contract with no signs of a renewal.
Nine-time Ireland Under-19 international Stokes made only one Leeds appearance for the senior side, playing 66 minutes of Leeds’ 5-1 win over Newport County earlier this season in the Carabao Cup.
However, Leeds have decided to end his contract after completing an influx of new Under-23 signings during the January transfer window.

The signings of Sam Dalby from Leyton Orient as well as a permanent deal for Adrian Balboa, as well as Ryan Edmondson’s move to Elland Road from York City back in December has seen Stokes’ position become uncertain.
Now, Stokes will be on the lookout for a new club as he looks to continue his foray into the world of professional football away from Elland Road.
