Liverpool starting XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Keita; Salah, Mane, Diaz.

Liverpool substitutes: Kelleher, Milner, Firmino, Gomez, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Minamino, Jota, Tsimikas, Matip, Elliott.

Liverpool go with Alisson in goal as they travel to Lisbon to take on Benfica in the Champions League tonight.

The Reds are fighting for a place in the semi-finals and a strong first leg in Portugal tonight would put them in the right direction.

There is big news at right back tonight as Trent Alexander-Arnold is passed fit to start in a massive boost for Liverpool.

Ibrahima Konate comes into the back line alongside Virgil van Dijk with Andrew Robertson starting at left back.

Fabinho will anchor the midfield whilst Naby Keita joins Thiago in the engine room – something that should excite Liverpool fans.

Keita wasn’t involved against Watford but Jurgen Klopp has put his faith in him for tonight’s game.

There are two changes in attack with Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz returning to the team, joining Mohamed Salah in the final third.

Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino make way for Mane and Diaz but make the bench.

They’re joined by fellow substitutes Caoimhin Kelleher, James Milner, Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Takumi Minamino, Kostas Tsimikas, Joel Matip and Harvey Eliott.

Divock Origi isn’t involved at all, with Minamino chosen ahead of the Belgian even with nine substitutes available.
