JoySports journalist George Addo Jnr has reported on Twitter that Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey was withdrawn from the Ghana team against Brazil as a precaution.

Arsenal star Partey was initially named in the Ghana starting lineup for their friendly international match against Brazil on Friday evening.

However, the £45 million (Football.London) star was then taken out of the starting lineup after he reportedly ‘felt something’ in warm-up.

JoySports journalist George Addo Jnr has claimed on Twitter that Partey felt uncomfortable around his knee and was advised not to play.

The well-known and well-respected Ghanian journalist has said that he has been told that it was “only precautionary”, and that Partey should be ready for Tuesday’s game.

Injury update on Arsenal and Ghana star Thomas Partey

Encouraging for the Gunners

In our opinion, Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey being available for Ghana’s next match is very encouraging for the Gunners.

It shows that his knee issue is not serious, and that he could play against Tottenham Hotspur after the international break.

Arsenal will need all of their best players available against Spurs in the North London derby, and if Partey plays, then it will enhance their chances of winning the Premier League match.
