Leeds United summer signing Izzy Brown has been included in the Under-23 starting lineup against their Newcastle United counterparts at Whitley Park this evening.
Brown, who joined Leeds on loan from Premier League club Chelsea in the summer transfer window, has yet to make an appearance in the Championship for the Whites so far this season.
The 21-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder, forward or winger, has been suffering from a long-term knee injury.
The former England Under-20 international – who earns £25,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – starts for the Leeds United-23 against their Newcastle counterpart in the Premier League Cup.
Patrick Bamford does not start for Carlos Corberan’s side, but the former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest forward is on the substitutes’ bench.

The 25-year-old forward has been suffering with a PCL injury, but the former England Under-21 international – who joined Leeds from Middlesbrough in the summer transfer window – could get some playing time against the Newcastle Under-23 side this evening.
