Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic will be keen to inflict further misery on Inverness Caledonian Thistle this evening.
Celtic can take advantage of Aberdeen’s slip up at Hamilton Academical on Tuesday and extend their lead over the Dons to 27 points with a win at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The Bhoys are on a remarkable run of 21 consecutive Scottish Premiership victories and have failed to win only one of their 26 league games this season – a 2-2 draw against tonight’s opponents back in September.
Caley have certainly paid the price for their inconvenience, losing the proceeding two meetings by an aggregate scoreline of 9-0 and will fear the worst again having dropped to 12th place courtesy of Hamilton’s shock win last night.
Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers is in no mood for mercy, it seems, playing arguably his strongest available eleven, with James Forrest joining Jozo Simunovic and Tom Rogic on the sidelines.
Inverness, on the other hand, are without a number of regulars, including Celtic loanee Jamie McCart, who cannot feature against his parent club.
