Confirmed Everton v Sunderland line-ups: Lookman starts, Mirallas on the bench

Everton host Sunderland in the Premier League this afternoon.

Everton are looking to make it nine games unbeaten this afternoon as they take on Sunderland at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have won five and drawn three of their last eight games, drawing 0-0 at Middlesbrough last time out, but are back at home today, where their last game was a 6-3 win over Bournemouth.

Ronald Koeman has today kept Ademola Lookman and Ross Barkley as the players supporting Romelu Lukaku in attack, whilst Tom Davies joins Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin in midfield.

A sturdy defence is led by Seamus Coleman, Ashley Williams, Ramiro Funes Mori and Leighton Baines ahead of goalkeeper Joel Robles.

Kevin Mirallas returns from injury to make the bench, along with James McCarthy, Enner Valencia, Mason Holgate, Garreth Barry, Phil Jagielka and Maarten Stekelenburg.

Meanwhile, Sunderland need to bounce back this afternoon having been hammered 4-0 by Southampton last time out.

The Black Cats remain two points adrift of safety, but David Moyes – who returns to Everton this afternoon – can call upon Jordan Pickford in goal after his return from injury.

Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson both start having left Everton for Sunderland in January, whilst Didier Ndong and Seb Larsson both start in midfield.

Adnan Januzaj and Fabio Borini support Jermain Defoe in attack, with Joleon Lescott on the bench for his own return to Goodison Park.

He’s joined by Wahbi Khazri, Mika, Javier Manquillo, George Honeyman, Lynden Gooch and Donald Love.
