Everton host Lyon in the Europa League this evening…

Everton are back in Europa League action this evening as they take on French side Lyon at Goodison Park.

The Toffees’ Premier League campaign has been a disaster so far, losing four of their first eight games, and the Europa League hasn’t given them any better fortunes, having picked up just one point from games against Atalanta and Apollon Limassol.

Tonight, under-fire manager Ronald Koeman goes searching for three points, and starts with usual first-choice goalkeeper Jordan Pickford between the sticks.

Mason Holgate, Ashley Williams, Michael Keane and Cuco Martina form the back four, with Morgan Schneiderlin protecting the defence in holding midfield.

Davy Klaassen and Tom Davies will play slightly ahead of him, with Nikola Vlasic and Kevin Mirallas starting out wide, supporting lone front man Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Maarten Stekelenburg is on the bench, alongside Leighton Baines, Muhamed Besic, Idrissa Gueye, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Ademola Lookman and Sandro Ramirez.

Meanwhile, visitors Lyon lie just one point ahead of Everton, and will be hoping for their first win of the competition at Goodison Park this evening.

Anthony Lopes starts in goal, with Kenny Tete, Marcelo, Mouctar Diakhaby and Marcal making up the defence in front of him.

Houssem Aouar and Lucas Tousart feature in midfield, with Bertrand Traore, Memphis Depay and Nabil Fekir supporting Myziane Maolida in attack.

Ex-Newcastle defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and former Manchester right back Rafael are both on the bench, alongside Elisha Owusu, Jordan Ferri, Mathieu Gorgelin, Maxwel Cornet and Tanguy Ndombele.
