Everton take on Liverpool at Goodison Park this afternoon.

Everton head into the game having beaten Cardiff City 3-0 in midweek, giving Marco Silva a much-needed victory ahead of the Merseyside derby.

Jordan Pickford starts in goal as usual, and he will be looking to atone for the error which cost Everton a draw at Anfield back in December.

He will be protected by a back four of Seamus Coleman, Kurt Zouma, Michael Keane and Lucas Digne, with Phil Jagielka dropping back down to the bench.

Morgan Schneiderlin keeps his place alongside Idrissa Gueye in holding midfield, with Bernard, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Theo Walcott supporting Dominic Calvert-Lewin in attack.

That means Richarlison is on the bench, alongside Jagielka, Maarten Stekelenburg, Jonjoe Kenny, Tom Davies, Andre Gomes and Cenk Tosun.

Meanwhile, Liverpool go with Alisson in goal, with Joel Matip in Virgil van Dijk in front of him, whilst full backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson – who starred against Watford – also in the side.

Fabinho joins Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson in a workmanlike midfield trio, and Divock Origi keeps his place in attack ahead of Roberto Firmino.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah join Origi in the final third, with Firmino on the bench alongside fellow attacker Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool’s other substitutes today are Simon Mignolet, James Milner, Naby Keita, Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri.
