Everton take on Arsenal in the Premier League this evening, hoping to bounce back from a disappointing weekend result.
The Toffees lost 3-2 to Watford at the weekend, failing to capitalise on a brace from Romelu Lukaku.
Opponents Arsenal are not who they would have wanted to face at Goodison Park, with the Gunners winning their last league away game 5-1 against West Ham.
Striker Alexis Sanchez is in excellent form, and helped inspire them to a 3-1 win over Stoke City at the weekend.
Everton’s last home game saw them grab a fortuitous point against Manchester United after scoring a late penalty.
Arsenal are in second place in the table, three points clear of Chelsea who play tomorrow night, and Arsene Wenger’s side will want a win to put the pressure on.
After a bright start to the season, Everton have slipped to ninth place, and a defeat to Arsenal could see them slip out of the top 10 by time the midweek fixtures are over.
