Confirmed Everton v Apollon Limassol lineups: Kenny starts, Calvert-Lewin on the bench

Everton take on Apollon Limassol in the Europa League this evening…

The Toffees picked up a much-needed Premier League win on Saturday, beating Bournemouth 2-1 thanks to two goals from Oumar Niasse.

The Senegal international wasn’t registered for the Europa League however, and Everton boss Ronald Koeman must make do without Niasse tonight as a result.

Koeman has gone with Jordan Pickford in goal, with Jonjoe Kenny handed a start at right back in a defence also containing Mason Holgate, Ashley Williams and Leighton Baines.

Morgan Schneiderlin, Idrissa Gueye and Tom Davies start in a three-man midfielder, with James McCarthy not in the squad despite being named in the Republic of Ireland squad.

Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson both start, and will serve as the chief creators behind striker Sandro Ramirez in the Everton attack.

That means that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is only named on the bench for Everton tonight, alongside Maarten Stekelenburg, Cuco Martina, Davy Klaassen, Kevin Mirallas, Nikola Vlasic and Ademola Lookman.

Meanwhile, Apollon Limassol will be looking to spring a major surprise, but may be a tough nut to crack after drawing 1-1 with Lyon in their first group game two weeks ago.

Former Sunderland defender Valentin Roberge is a notable name in the Apollon defence, whilst Liverpool loanee Allan starts in midfield.

Anton Maglica leads the line after 12 goals last season, whilst Maltese international Andre Schembri is named among the substitutes for the visitors this evening.
