Kieran Dowell has shone on loan at Nottingham Forest from Everton.

Nottingham Forest playmaker Kieran Dowell will not return to parent club Everton this month despite his impressive form with the Championship side, which has been confirmed by Forest’s official website.
The 20-year-old has shone since joining the two-time European champions on a season-long loan, scoring nine goals and adding five assists in 30 league and cup encounters this season.
Fans have previously shown their frustration on Twitter that the exciting young playmaker is not available to be picked by Sam Allardyce, with some supporters calling for a January recall.

The Toffees have struggled in front of goal and have seriously lacked creativity of late, failing to taste victory in their last five games which has seen the club lose three consecutively. They have scored just two goals in that time.
The form of Davy Klaassen since his arrival from Ajax has hardly been worth the £25million price tag, while Wayne Rooney has been used up front, deep in midfield and in the number 10 role.

It all pointed to the return of Dowell, who was a part of the England Under-20 side that beat Venezuela in the World Cup final in South Korea last summer.
However, Forest will now keep Dowell until the end of the 2017-18 season as the Toffees academy graduate continues to shine in red.
