Everton are back in Europa League action this evening as they take on MFK Ruzomberok of Slovakia at Goodison Park.
The Toffees finished seventh in the Premier League under Ronald Koeman last season, meaning that they have returned to the Europa League after two years out of the competition.
Koeman will be looking to get off to the perfect start with a home win in the first leg of their two-legged tie with Ruzomberok, with Everton huge favourites for the game.
Koeman is armed with a host of new signings to boost his side, and four of them start as Cuco Martina, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen and Wayne Rooney all feature in the XI.
Maarten Stekelenburg is the surprise choice in goal, with veterans Ashley Williams and Leighton Baines joining Martina and Keane in the Everton defence.
Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin unsurprisingly keep their places in midfield alongside Klaassen, whilst Kevin Mirallas and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will flank Rooney in attack.
Stekelenburg’s selection means that summer signing Jordan Pickford is only on the bench, and he is joined by Phil Jagielka, Mason Holgate, Gareth Barry, Tom Davies, Ademola Lookman and fellow new signing Sandro Ramirez.
