Everton take on Hajduk Split in the Europa League this evening.
Everton starting line-up: Pickford; Martina, Keane, Williams, Baines; Schneiderlin, Gueye; Mirallas, Klaassen, Lookman; Rooney.
Everton substitutes: Stekelenburg, Jagielka, Holgate, Besic, Davies, Lennon, Calvert-Lewin.
Everton are back in Europa League action this evening as they host Croatian side Hajduk Split at Goodison Park, with a place in the Europa League group stage up for grabs.
The Toffees beat Slovakian side Ruzomberok in the last round with a 2-0 aggregate win, thanks to goals from Leighton Baines and Dominic Calvert-Lewin over the two legs.
Now, it’s Croatian outfit Hajduk Split who stand in Everton’s way, as Ronald Koeman closes in on a Europa League group stage spot – and he has named a strong side for this evening’s test.
Jordan Pickford keeps his place in goal after a clean sheet against Stoke City on Saturday afternoon, with fellow summer additions Cuco Martina and Michael Keane joining Ashley Williams and Leighton Baines in defence.
Morgan Schneiderlin and Idrissa Gueye will sit in holding midfield, with Kevin Mirallas, Davy Klaassen and Ademola Lookman supporting lone striker Wayne Rooney, given that Sandro Ramirez is out and Gylfi Sigurdsson isn’t yet ready following his move from Swansea City on Wednesday night.
Despite playing 90 minutes against Stoke on Saturday, Phil Jagielka is only named on the bench, alongside Maarten Stekelenburg, Mason Holgate, Muhamed Besic, Tom Davies, Aaron Lennon and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
