The Premier League season is finally back and for Everton and Watford fans, this is the first chance they get to see their new signings in competitive action.
Everton will be hoping to push on in Roberto Martinez’s third year in charge while the newly promoted Hornets will know that every point is vital and getting an away victory on the board early would be a huge confidence boost.
Everton are without Steven Pienaar and Muhamed Besic who are both injured while Watford must make do without the suspended Miguel Britos among others.
Everton have won their last nine games against Watford in all competitions and they will be hoping to make that 10 out of 10 this afternoon.
As for Watford, they will be hoping it is third time lucky having been relegated in their previous two campaigns in the Premier League, and with new manager Quique Sanchez Flores at the helm they will be quietly confident.
