Here is how England’s under-21 side will line up to play Kazakhstan this evening including players from Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Liverpool and more.
England U21 starting line-up: Pickford, Gomez, Targett, Baker, Chambers, Dier, Ibe, Ward-Prowse, Akpom, Loftus-Cheek, Redmond
England U21 subs: Iorfa, Walton, Chalobah, Forster-Caskey, Watmore, Wilson, Woodrow
England’s under-21 side welcome Kazakhstan to town today as the two sides clash in a European U21 Championship qualifier and there are some familiar faces on show for Gareth Southgate’s side.
England U21s are currently third in Group 9 but that is due to the fact that they have only played one match to date, while second-placed Switzerland have played three and current leaders Norway have already turned out four times.
Among the players on show for England today are Tottenham Hotspur defender-cum-midfielder Eric Dier, Liverpool duo Joe Gomez and Jordon Ibe and Arsenal player Calum Chambers.
Dier has excelled for Tottenham so far this season and is now a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side while Gomez has impressed since signing for Liverpool from Charlton Athletic during the summer.
Chambers is having a slightly more disappointing campaign after featuring just three times for Arsenal so far this season, but the 20-year-old looks set for a very bright future in the game and will have to bide his time in his second year at the Gunners.
