The Premier League returns this afternoon, with Crystal Palace welcoming Chelsea to Selhurst Park.
The Eagles defeated the Blues in the corresponding fixture last season to give Manchester City a huge – and ultimately decisive – boost in the title race, and Jose Mourinho will not be taking Palace lightly this afternoon.
Neil Warnock’s side lost to Hull City prior to the international break and they will not want to suffer back-to-back defeats, but this Chelsea side are markedly different from last season’s version, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa turning them into arguably the best side in the division.
Despite last season’s victory, Palace will know that prior to that they had not defeated Chelsea in the league since 1990.
