Celtic take on Motherwell at Celtic Park this afternoon.

Celtic’s pursuit of the Scottish Premiership title continues today as they host Motherwell at Celtic Park.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have dropped just two points in a remarkable season so far, and beat St Johnstone 5-2 last time out.

Today, Rodgers has gone with a familiar back four of Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata, Jozo Simunovic and Kieran Tierney in front of goalkeeper Craig Gordon, whilst Nir Bitton starts in midfielder.

The Israeli is joined by Scott Brown and Liam Henderson, with Scott Sinclair and James Forrest supporting Moussa Dembele in attack.

The likes of Erik Sviatchenko, Emilio Izaguirre and Cristian Gamboa are on the bench as Rodgers has a number of defenders at his disposal, along with Dorus de Vries, Callum McGregor, Stuart Armstrong and Gary Mackay-Steven.

Meanwhile, Motherwell travel to Glasgow having been thrashed 7-2 by Aberdeen in midweek, with manager Mark McGhee desperate for a response.

Ex-Celtic striker Scott McDonald returns to face his former club, with fellow former Bhoys Stephen McManus and Stephen Pearson also starting.

Promising midfielder Chris Cadden, star striker Louis Moult and veteran Keith Lasley all start as well, though Ryan Bowman has to make do with a place on the bench despite scoring against Aberdeen.
