Here is how Celtic and Hearts will line up this afternoon:

Brendan Rodgers, coach of Celtic looks on during a Celtic training session on the eve of their UEFA Champions League match against Anderlecht at Lennoxtown Training Ground on December 4,...

Celtic starting XI: Gordon, Lustig, Simunovic, Boyata, Tierney, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Forrest, Sinclair, Griffiths,

Celtic subs: De Vries, Armstrong, Ajer, Dembele, Hayes, Kouassi, Edouard

Celtic travel to Tynecastle this afternoon to take on Hearts in their latest Scottish Premiership match.

The Bhoys are currently two points clear of second-placed Aberdeen but Brendan Rodgers’ side have two games in hand over Derk McInnes’s men.

Rangers’ setback on Saturday means they have slipped to third in the table and Celtic can start to build a healthy lead over their Old Firm rivals if they can pick up another three points this afternoon.

Scott Sinclair of Celtic is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Motherwell at Celtic Park on December 2, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Hearts are currently fifth in the league and they will not roll over for the reigning champions, even if they have not won any of their last 18 league games against today’s opponents.

Celtic have won all but one of their last eight matches away to Hearts and few will be against them making that eight from nine by the close of play this afternoon.

With the matches coming thick and fast over the festive period it is up to Celtic to ensure they build up a head of steam going into 2018.
