Celtic will be looking to maintain their good run of form this afternoon when they take on Motherwell away from home in the Scottish Premiership.

Brendan Rodgers’s side will head into the match against Motherwell at Fir Park on the back of a 3-2 victory over Rangers away from home at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby.

The Glasgow giants look set to win the Scottish Premiership title yet again this season, and the Hoops will fancy their chances of picking up all three points this afternoon.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has included Jack Hendry in the starting lineup against Motherwell.

The 22-year-old central defender joined the Hoops from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee in the January transfer window for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Record to be worth £1.5 million, and is a rising star.

Dedryck Boyata also starts for Celtic, and so do star striker Moussa Dembele and key midfielder Scott Brown.

Praise for Scott Bain

Scott Bain made his debut for Celtic against Rangers in the Old Firm derby last week, and his teammate and defender Hendry was impressed.

Hendry told The Scottish Sun about Bain: “I have full trust in him when he’s behind me and he’s the kind of character who would thrive in that environment and he did that.”

Praise for Olivier Ntcham

Former Celtic midfielder and manager David Hay has praised midfielder Olivier Ntcham for his performance against Rangers last weekend.

Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “I thought Ntcham was the lynchpin for Celtic.

“Scott Brown was the Scott Brown that we have come to expect and I thought he had a fine game and really showed his leadership qualities, particularly when Celtic went down to ten men.

“But Ntcham is really coming to the fore now for me. We all knew that he hadn’t played too much first-team football when he first arrived but we are seeing the best of him now.”
