Meanwhile, Frank McAvennie has suggested that Callum McGregor is not the ideal Scott Brown replacement for Celtic.
McGregor has been playing well for Celtic in the absence of Brown, who is injured at the moment.
The former Scotland international is one of the best combative midfielders in Scotland and remains a key figure in the current Bhoys’ team.
Former Celtic striker McAvennie does not think that 25-year-old central midfielder McGregor does enough defensive work.
McAvennie told Open Goal about McGregor: “He’s not a Scott Brown, that’s for sure. McGregor is great going forward, but he couldn’t tackle for supper. He is one of them.”
