Celtic will be looking to progress in the Scottish League Cup this afternoon when they take on Dunfermline Athletic at Celtic Park in the second round.

Neil Lennon’s side will head into the match as favourites, and they should not really have any problem in getting the better of the Scottish Championship side.

The Bhoys will also be looking to bounce back from their disappointment in the Champions League qualifiers in midweek.

As for Dunfermline, they will have no pressure whatsoever at Celtic today, and will know that they are the underdogs.

This is how Celtic will line up against Dunfermline at Celtic Park this afternoon.

Meanwhile, former Rangers striker Kris Boyd, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Celtic manager Neil Lennon will regret his team selection against CFR Cluj.

Lennon deployed midfielder Callum McGregor at left-back, while Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo and Christopher Jullien were on the substitutes’ bench.

The Hoops lost the second leg of the Champions League Qualifying Third Round tie 4-3 on Tuesday evening to go out 5-4 on aggregate.

Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun: “On the back of the defeat Lennon has been getting criticism from fans for his team selection and there’s no doubt his decision to play Callum McGregor at left-back backfired.

“Celtic are a far better team when he’s in the middle of the pitch, so maybe that’s something Lennon regrets doing.”
