Celtic take on Standard Liege in a pre-season friendly today.
Celtic starting line-up: Bain; Hendry, Ajer, Simunovic; Forrest, Ntcham, Brown, McGregor, Tierney; Dembele, Edouard.
Celtic are back in action again today, as they take on Belgian side Standard Liege in a pre-season friendly at Celtic Park, just days after the Champions League qualifying clash with Alashkert.
The Bhoys beat Armenian outfit Alashkert 3-0 in Yerevan on Tuesday night, leaving them with one foot in the next round of the competition even with the second leg still to come.
This afternoon, Celtic are back at home, and manager Brendan Rodgers has decided to name the same system that served him so well in Armenia, with a 3-5-2 seemingly on show.
Scott Bain starts in goal in place of Craig Gordon, whilst Jack Hendry, Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic line up as the three centre backs in front of the Scottish goalkeeper.
James Forrest and Kieran Tierney operate as wing backs, with Olivier Ntcham and Callum McGregor flanking Scott Brown in the heart of the Celtic midfield.
The system means that Rodgers can utilise both Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard together, the French pair do start up front again having led the line against Alashkert.
