Celtic take on St Mirren at Parkhead this evening…
Celtic starting line-up: Bain; Lustig, Ajer, Benkovic, Izaguirre; Brown, McGregor, Christie; Forrest, Sinclair, Burke.
Celtic substitutes: Gordon, Bitton, Simunovic, Hayes, Weah, Henderson, Johnston.
Celtic return to Scottish Premiership action this evening, almost a month since their last league outing – a 1-0 defeat away at Old Firm rivals Rangers.
The Bhoys need to get back to winning ways here, with Brendan Rodgers hoping to re-assert Celtic’s dominance in the title race with a strong performance against St Mirren.
Scott Bain keeps his place in goal ahead of Craig Gordon having started in the 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Airdrie on Saturday evening.
Bain will be protected by a back four of Mikael Lustig, Kristoffer Ajer, Filip Benkovic and Emilio Izaguirre, with Kieran Tierney still out injured.
Scott Brown starts in midfield alongside Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie, with James Forrest and Scott Sinclair supplying new signing Oliver Burke in attack.
New arrival Timothy Weah is only named on the bench, whilst Vakoun Issouf Bayo is still awaiting international clearance to play in Scotland.
Gordon is also on the bench, alongside Nir Bitton, Jozo Simunovic, Jonny Hayes, Euan Henderson and Mikey Johnston.
