Celtic take on Rosenborg in the Champions League this evening.

Celtic starting line-up: Gordon; Lustig, Simunovic, Ajer, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham, Armstrong; Forrest, Rogic, Sinclair.

Celtic substitutes: De Vries, Bitton, Hayes, Benyu, McGregor, Ralston, Kouassi.

Celtic are back in Champions League action this evening, as they host Norwegian side Rosenborg at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys coasted past Northern Ireland’s Linfield in the last round of the Champions League qualifiers, but Tippeligaen champions Rosenborg may be a little trickier.

Celtic are still hot favourites for the two-legged affair, but have been forced to use teenager Kristoffer Ajer at centre back tonight, due to injuries to Erk Sviatchenko and Dedryck Boyata.

Norwegian youngster Ajer partners Jozo Simunovic in the heart of the Celtic defence, with Craig Gordon, Mikael Lustig and Kieran Tierney again starting as they so often do.

Scott Brown anchors the midfield, with Stuart Armstrong and new signing Olivier Ntcham ahead of him, whilst James Forrest and Scott Sinclair feature out wide.

Leigh Griffiths’ suspension and an injury to Moussa Dembele mean that Rodgers is left short of options in attack, with midfielder Tom Rogic called upon to play as a ‘false 9’ this evening.

Summer signings Jonny Hayes and Kundai Benyu are both named on the bench, alongside Dorus de Vries, Nir Bitton, Callum McGregor, Anthony Ralston and Eboue Kouassi.
