Celtic take on Astana in the Champions League play-offs today.

Celtic starting line-up: Gordon; Lustig, Ajer, Bitton, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham; Forrest, McGregor, Sinclair; Griffiths.

Celtic substitutes: De Vries, Armstrong, Hayes, Rogic, Gamboa, Ralston, Miller.

Celtic travel to Kazakhstan this afternoon to take on Astana in the second leg of their Champions League play-off tie, having won the first leg 5-0 last week.

The Bhoys eased their way to a convincing victory over Astana last week, with Brendan Rodgers’ side running riot in the 5-0 thumping at Celtic Park.

Rodgers’ men came through Saturday’s 2-0 win over Kilmarnock with no trouble, and now it’s back to the challenge of reaching the Champions League group stage – but with a 5-0 lead from the first leg, Celtic are virtually in the group stage already.

This afternoon, Rodgers has again gone with Craig Gordon in goal, with Mikael Lustig and Kieran Tierney flanking the makeshift centre back partnership of Kristoffer Ajer and Nir Bitton.

Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham will sit in the middle of the park, with James Forrest, Callum McGregor and Scott Sinclair called upon to support lone striker Leigh Griffiths.

Despite recently signing a new contract to stay with the club, midfielder Stuart Armstrong is again named on the bench – a role that is becoming all too familiar for the Scotland ace this season.

Dorus de Vries, Jonny Hayes, Tom Rogic, Cristian Gamboa, Anthony Ralston and Calvin Miller join Armstrong on the bench in Astana this evening, as Celtic look to finish off the job and return to the Champions League group stage.
