Celtic take on AIK in the Europa League qualifiers this evening…
Celtic starting line-up: Gordon; Ajer, Jullien, Simunovic, Bolingoli; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Johnston; Edouard.
Celtic substitutes: Hazard, Bitton, Griffiths, Bayo, Hayes, Morgan, Ntcham.
Celtic are back in European action tonight as they take on Swedish side AIK at Parkhead, and will be looking to avoid another slip-up.
The Bhoys lost to CFR Cluj in the Champions League last week, meaning they’ve now been put in the Europa League qualifiers in a major disappointment.
Neil Lennon needs to avoid another European shock tonight, but with Scott Bain out of action, veteran Craig Gordon will be in goal for Celtic this evening.
Already, the formation seems strange. James Forrest may be playing as a wing back, but for now we’ll go with Kristoffer Ajer at right back, with Christopher Jullien, Jozo Simunovic and Boli Bolingoli rounding out the defence.
Scott Brown and Callum McGregor will start in midfield, with Ryan Christie playing as the most advanced midfielder having enjoyed a great start to the season.
That would leave Forrest and Mikey Johnston as the wingers, supporting striker Odsonne Edouard in the final third, with Scott Sinclair once again not even in the squad.
Conor Hazard, Nir Bitton, Leigh Griffiths, Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Jonny Hayes, Lewis Morgan and Olivier Ntcham are all named on the bench tonight.
