Celtic welcome St Mirren to Celtic Park this afternoon for their Scottish Cup quarter-final match.
The Bhoys are flying high at the top of the Scottish Premiership, with the title all but wrapped up even at this early stage of the campaign, meaning they can focus on moving ever closer to even more silverware with a victory this afternoon.
This is the 31st time the two sides have met in this competition, with Celtic having 17 victories under their belt to date, with St Mirren managing six wins and seven draws.
Celtic simply do not look like getting beaten in their current form and with Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers well aware that a famous treble is well within his grasp, he will no doubt send his side out for today’s clash with a clear message: Victory is vital.
St Mirren will want to make some history of their own but given their struggles this season it will take an almighty effort to reach the last four.
