Leeds United will be looking for a second win in a row as they travel to South Wales to take on Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds have been in shaky form under new manager Paul Trollope, and the pressure is mounting on him after Tuesday night’s 3-0 defeat away at Preston North End.
Ben Wilson’s error led to Preston’s first goal in that game at Deepdale, and he has paid for it with his place in the team this afternoon as Ben Amos starts in goal.
Former Leeds United defender Lee Peltier starts today, whilst Peter Whittingham and Craig Noone both start having been brought on as half time substitutes against Preston, with Bruno Ecuele Manga, Emyr Huws, Declan John and Kadeem Harris all dropping out.
Meanwhile, Leeds picked up their first home win of the season on Tuesday night by beating Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Elland Road, with Chris Wood grabbing the opening goal having initially been a substitute – but today, he starts in place of Marcus Antonsson in the Leeds attack.
Leeds’ other change today sees Ronaldo Vieira come in for the injured Liam Bridcutt, whose absence means that Kyle Bartley – the other goalscorer in Tuesday’s 2-1 win – captains the side today.
The likes of Lewie Coyle, Liam Cooper and Alex Mowatt are all on the bench, as is forward Kemar Roofe, who missed out on Tuesday’s game through injury.
